We first call you (the client) to discuss the situation and to sort out the best plan of action. If you cannot be reached and medical attention is required, we will take your pet to the vet designated by you and the nearest to our current location.
Your key will be kept secure and away from personal information and no key can be identified to any property. In the event of your key being lost or stolen, we will advise you, also your personal information will never be discussed with any third parties. We are bound by the Data Protection Act.
Your dog may be walked with other dogs during their walks (depending on demand/bookings). Legally, six days can be walked at any one time. However, four dogs at a time is a much better preference at Canis Otium. Our walkers are highly trained and experienced in the field of dog walking. Group dog walking are a fantastic way for your dog to socialise and build their confidence and they gain greatly from this social aspect of their walks.
It is required you have in place suitable care alternatives for the care of your pets. It is unlawful to simply leave your dogs at home without supervision whilst being away. However, you are welcome to use Canis Otium’s housesitting services while you’re away.
All our walks are a minimum of one hour, if your dog requires longer or shorter walks, we can tailor a solo walk to your specific requirements.
Yes, indeed. We will always send your dog walker to meet you and your dog before commencing with any of our services we would be providing to you.
We are flexible to you the customer and are able to make upgrades to tailor our services to you on request.

Dog Walking
Every dog needs to be taken on walks, as it helps them get regular exercise, with an opportunity to socialise, and as a routine keeps them healthy and happy.
If you are unable to walk your dog, we would love the opportunity to do so, and would give your dog the love and attention they need while you’re busy or away.

Pricing
Dog Walking
£25 (wknds £35)
We also provide solo dog walks (an an alternative to group walks). This service requires an additional fee of £10 only.
Initial Set-up Visit (No Charge)
We come out to meet you and your pet(s) to review the conditions of the service we would provide for you. Pick up keys.
After Hours Visits (An additional £15 per visit)
Price is for both pick up and drop-off for visits that may need to occur before or after opening times.
Holiday Visits (Double Normal Rate)
A surcharge would be added for the following days for all our services; Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, and all Bank Holidays including Good Friday and Easter Monday.
